Charlotte Checkers games broadcast on ESPN 730
ESPN 730 will return as the Charlotte Checkers’ flagship radio and online station for 2013-14.

All regular season and playoff games will be available at ESPN730.com through the “listen live” stream and through the TuneIn Radio app for smartphones and tablets. A link to each broadcast will also be available on gocheckers.com prior to each game. All broadcasts will include a 15-minute pre-game show prior to puck drop with “Voice of the Checkers” Jason Shaya. Additionally, more than 60 games will be broadcast on the radio (AM 730).

“We’re excited to once again partner with ESPN 730,” said Shaya. “With the free TuneIn Radio app and other streaming options, Checkers fans can listen to each and every game from wherever they are.”

ESPN 730 is the home of the Checkers, Charlotte 49ers, Appalachian State University, Clemson University, as well as national and local sports talk, including Mike and Mike in the Morning and The Herd.

The Checkers’ home opener is Saturday, Oct. 19 at Time Warner Cable Arena. Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com and the Time Warner Cable Arena box office.
