The 21-year-old ranks second on the Checkers in goals and fourth in scoring. His 26 goals thus far this season not only lead all AHL rookies, but stand as the new Charlotte franchise record for tallies by a rookie in a single season. Foegele is also tied for the league lead in game-winning goals (8), tied for second in shorthanded goals (4) and points (6) and ranks fifth among all rookies in plus-minus (+18).

The Hurricanes host Ottawa Monday night and then travel to New Jersey on Tuesday before contests in Washington and against New York on Friday and Saturday. The Checkers, meanwhile, are off until a pair of road games in Rochester and Syracuse on Friday and Saturday.
