The Checkers and Novant Health are hosting toy and board game drives during their upcoming weekend home games on Saturday, Nov. 24, and Sunday, Nov. 25.
For both games against the Laval Rocket, which begin at 6 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively, fans who bring a toy to donate to Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital will receive a free ticket to the Checkers’ game on Sunday, Dec. 16.
As a special bonus, the first 40 fans to donate a checkers board game on Saturday only will receive an autographed Checkers item.
Other promotions taking place that weekend include Saturday’s Family Night, which offers savings of 40 percent on groups of four tickets, and Sunday’s postgame skate with Checkers players. Tickets for both games are on sale now.
