Steve Latin

Equipment Manager

A veteran of more than 30 years and nearly 2,500 professional games, Latin, a native of Dearborn, Michigan, has an associate's degree in business from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti.

Latin broke into the NHL in 1980 with Detroit and spent six seasons with the Red Wings before joining the Hartford Whalers for two seasons and then the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1988. A member of both of the Penguins' Stanley Cup championship teams, Latin has also been a member of five division winners and a President's Trophy winner with the Penguins. He served as equipment manager for the silver medal-winning 2002 U.S. Olympic Team, and has worked with Team USA at the 1990 World Championship and at the 1991 Canada Cup. He also worked the 1990 All-Star Game in Pittsburgh and was inducted into the Dearborn Hall of Fame in the summer of 2002.

Steve and his wife, Melissa, reside in the Charlotte area.
