As fan services manager, Slechta is responsible for fulfilling elements of the season ticket holder experience, including the organizing of special events and pregame activities. He also performs a variety of duties within the Checkers’ ticket department related to sales, service, marketing, promotional and communications initiatives. He is also the main point of contact for all operational needs between the team and Time Warner Cable Arena.
Prior to joining the team in March of 2011, Slechta worked as a promotions student assistant for the athletic association at his alma mater, the University of Georgia, where he helped organize and execute in-game promotions for various sports across campus. He was also an executive services intern at the Georgia Dome, where helped service guests and manage operations at the club and suite levels.
Slechta is an avid supporter of athletics at University of Georgia, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in sport management and a bachelor of business administration degree in management in 2011. An Atlanta native, he also supports all of the city’s major sports franchises past and present. He currently resides in Charlotte.
