Gatterdam joined the corporate partnerships team with the Checkers in the fall of 2017. She came to the Checkers after spending time in Washington, D.C., working with Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign.

Prior to her time at No Kid Hungry, she graduated from Queens University of Charlotte where she was an active student and lacrosse player.

As a native Buckeye, Gatterdam moved to Charlotte from her hometown of Columbus, Ohio.

Favorite Checkers memory The very first time I came to Charlotte to tour Queens and have an official lacrosse visit one of my friends took me to a Checkers game. I remember sitting in the Spectrum Center, seeing Chubby for the first time, and having a great time at the game. It was one of my first memories in Charlotte.
Previous jobs In college, I worked closely with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in their regional office here in Charlotte. Most recently, I was working with the Corporate Partnerships team at Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign in Washington, DC.
