This is Booth’s second stint with Reading, who are in need of a goalie and thus offer the opportunity for the young netminder to play more than with Charlotte’s ECHL affiliate in Florida. The second-year pro is 4-1-0 with the Checkers this season while posting a 1.89 goals-against average and a .924 save percentage.
The Checkers now head into one last weekend series before the holiday break with 13 healthy options at forward – Martin Necas was sent to World Juniors earlier this morning – and a goalie tandem of Alex Nedeljkovic and Scott Darling.
