The Checkers' game against Peoria this Friday is Military Appreciation Night presented by Goodrich Corporation.
All fans who come to the game and bring a trave-sized, personal item to donate to the USO of North Carolina will receive a buy-one-get-one free ticket voucher for the game against Milwaukee on Sunday, Dec. 9. Last season, the Checkers and their partners donated over 2,200 items to service men and women returning from active duty.

Constant Need, Non-perishable
- Soda Pop (Cans only please.)
- Bottled Water (Sam's Club is currently cheapest with Nestle Also Wal-Mart store brand 24 pack for $2.97.)
- Zip Lock Bags – Sandwich size mostly, with some quart and gallon size.
- Country Time Lemonade Mix (Large Canisters)
- Clorox-type Disinfectant Wipes
- Jars of Grape Jelly
- Jars of Creamy Peanut Butter
- Microwave Popcorn
- Drink Sticks (powered soft drink mix)
- Children's Juice Boxes
- Easy Mac/Mac & Cheese (individual size servings preferred)
- Ramen Noodles/Cup Noodle (individual size servings preferred)
- Candy & Gum
- Grocery Store Gift Cards to purchase perishable items
- Gasoline Gift Cards
