CROSSFIT SHOOTOUT RAISES OVER $2,000

Checkers Crossfit Shootout
The inaugural Checkers CrossFit Shootout was held Saturday, Dec. 1, at Time Warner Cable Arena, with 250 competitors from 40 local gyms. Through registrations and sponsorship packages, competitors raised more than $2,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project.

Competitors performed three rounds of one-minute workouts, consisting of rows, push press, slam balls and kettle bell swings. Michelle Crawford and Matthew Richards took home the individual awards of “Fittest in Charlotte,” while the fittest gym award was given to CrossFit Charlotte.
