 Thanks to the help of fans, the Checkers have been recognized as having the “Best online presence for a Charlotte sports team” in Elevate Lifestyle Magazine’s 2012 City Web Awards.
Voting took place over a two-week period at Elevate Lifestyle Magazine’s website and the Checkers earned the most votes of any nominee in all 25 award categories. Votes were accepted via Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest.
Members of the Checkers staff were in attendance at Blackfinn American Saloon Friday evening to accept the award.
