As part of “15 Days of Giving”, presented by Lowe’s, the Checkers will hold a public skate with several players at Extreme Ice Center on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
The cost of the skate will be $5 with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting Special Olympics North Carolina.
Skate rentals will be available at Extreme Ice Center, with proceeds benefiting athletes Rory Kinane and Katie Carter, who will participate in the Special Olympics World Games in South Korea from Jan. 29 – Feb. 5, 2013.
