The first ever Checkers Star Wars Night will take place this Saturday, Dec. 1, when the Checkers host the Rockford IceHogs at 7 p.m. at Time Warner Cable Arena. There will be video board and music tributes to the Star Wars series throughout the game.
Fans are encouraged to come to the game dressed as Star Wars characters – the best dressed will win a prize. There will also be opportunities for photos on the concourse with the Carolina Garrison, the North and South Carolina chapter of the 501st Legion, an international Star Wars organization.
Saturday’s game will be the first time the Checkers wear their alternate logo, black jerseys. The jerseys will be worn six times throughout the season and auctioned live at the Friday, April 12, game for charity.
Sunday
Sunday’s 3 p.m. game vs. Rockford will feature Coke Family 4-Packs. Get four tickets, four hot dogs and four Cokes for $65 (plus Ticketmaster fees).
