CHARLOTTE, NC—The Charlotte Checkers and Infinity Pro Sports have partnered to create and launch the newly designed gocheckers.com website, COO Tera Black announced on Tuesday.
The new gocheckers.com, set to launch Oct. 1, will consist of a more logical layout that is easy to navigate. It will offer fans quicker and more efficient ways to access information on upcoming games, promotions and tickets as well as team news, game scores and summaries. It will also feature a customizable header that will correspond to upcoming theme nights and promotions.
In keeping pace with current social networking trends, the new design will incorporate sites such as Twitter, Facebook and the Checkers’ blog, providing fans with instantaneous updates.
“With the new website comes a renewed focus on forging a direct link between our fans and the team,” said Black. “The new gocheckers.com will deliver the most in-depth and comprehensive coverage while keeping current with ever-evolving social networking sites. The launch is something we’ve looked forward to for quite a while.”
The new site will also feature an improved team section where fans can see highlights, photos, player bios and in-depth statistics.
“The improved team section is a definitely a highlight of the new design,” said Mike Hendrix, Checkers’ director of advertising and new media. “It will give fans a never-before-seen, in-depth look at Checkers players while providing pertinent and up-to-the-minute information.”

The Checkers’ schedule is now available and they are getting ready for their 17th season of play as a member of the ECHL and 16th as an affiliate of the New York Rangers.
