Previous 10:  6-3-1
Standings: 2nd – South Division, 5th – American Conference

Charlotte is currently the hottest team in the American Conference with a 5-0-1 record in its last six games, including four wins in a row. The Checkers will travel to Elmira and Reading today and tomorrow before returning home for six in a row at Time Warner Cable Arena, where they are 11-2-1 in their last 14.

David Marshall is currently on a four-game point streak (4g, 3a) while Ryan Munce has won four straight games. Newcomers Trevor Hendrikx and David Urquhart have been great additions to fill the void on the blueline left by Julien Brouillette (Hartford), Ethan Graham (Texas), Chris Snavely (injured) and T.J. Reynolds (injured). Hendrikx scored a goal in his first game and added an assist in Sunday’s win over Gwinnett.

Mar. 11 vs. Gwinnett (W 5-4, SO)
The Checkers battled back from a two-goal third-period deficit to force overtime and win, 5-4, in a shootout over the Gwinnett Gladiators on Thursday evening. David Marshall recorded his first career hat trick and Andrew Carroll scored his league-leading fourth shootout-winning goal of the season. Ryan Munce stopped 36 shots for his third win in four tries while Gladiators goaltender Danny Taylor stopped 33 of 37 in a losing effort.

Mar. 13 vs. Gwinnett (W 4-2)
More than 11,000 fans attended the fourth annual “Pink in the Rink” and were not disappointed as the Checkers downed Gwinnett 4-2. Aaron Slattengren potted two goals and an assist while Mike Taylor chipped in with one goal and two assists. Ryan Munce stopped 28 of 30 shots en route to his 19th win of the season and fourth in his last five tries.

Mar. 14 vs. Gwinnett (W 4-2)
The Checkers fell behind by two early in the game but battled back to beat Gwinnett, 4-2, on Sunday afternoon. Charlotte has beaten division-rival Gwinnett four times in a row and own the season series with a record of 11-4-2 in 17 games. Matt Schepke scored two goals, including the game winner, while Ryan Munce stopped 22 of 24 shots for his fourth straight victory and is now 12-4-2 in his last 18 games.
