'CANES INK DODGE TO TWO-WAY DEAL

RALEIGH, NC—The Carolina Hurricanes announced that the team has agreed to terms with center Nick Dodge on a one-year, two-way contract.
 
Dodge, 24, played in all 80 games with the Albany River Rats in 2009-10 tallying 16 goals and 20 assists, while leading the team with a +18 rating. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound forward has collected 29 goals and 46 assists in 160 career AHL games, all with Albany.

Prior to turning professional, Dodge played four years at Clarkson University and captained the team to consecutive NCAA tournament berths in 2006-07 and 2007-08. He was also named the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference’s best defensive forward for 2007-08.
