TRAINING CAMP SCHEDULE RELEASED!

CHARLOTTE, NC—Charlotte Checkers senior vice president of hockey business operations Derek Wilkinson along with head coach and general manager Jeff Daniels announced today the schedule for the team’s inaugural American Hockey League training camp.

The Checkers will open training camp on Monday, Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. with the first of seven on-ice sessions open to the public at Extreme Ice Center in Indian Trail, N.C.

The team will then battle its closest rival, the Norfolk Admirals, in a home-and-home exhibition series on Friday, Oct. 1 in Norfolk, Va. and Sunday, Oct. 3 at Extreme Ice Center. The home game will be the first ever AHL contest in the Charlotte area. The Checkers will square off against the Admirals, the AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning, 12 times throughout the regular season, more than any other opponent.

Wed, Oct. 6 10 a.m.-12:00 p.m.  
Thu, Oct. 7 10 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
