RALEIGH, N.C. - Carolina Hurricanes president and general manager Jim Rutherford announced today that the team has acquired forward Ryan Carter from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for Matt Kennedy and Stefan Chaput.
Chaput, 22, has skated in 20 games with the Checkers, notching three points, while Kennedy, 21, has collected one assist in eight games in Charlotte. Both players were under contract with Carolina and assigned to the Checkers.
