CHARLOTTE, NC—The Charlotte Checkers announced on Friday that they will play a home-and-home preseason series with the South Carolina Stingrays on Oct. 9th and 10th.

The first game will take place at the Carolina Ice Palace in North Charleston, S.C. on Friday, Oct. 9th. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. For information contact the Stingrays at (843) 744-2248 or at www.stingrayshockey.com.

The Oct. 10th match-up, a Checkers home game, will be played at Extreme Ice Center in Indian Trail, N.C.  Puck-drop is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. and tickets will be $10 for the general public and free of charge for season ticket holders. The Checkers are getting ready for their 17th season of play as a member of the ECHL and 16th as an affiliate of the New York Rangers.
