CHARLOTTE, NC – Charlotte Checkers head coach and general manager Jeff Daniels announced today the team has signed rookie forward Scott Pitt to a professional tryout agreement.
 
Pitt, 23, has recorded four points (2g, 2a) in five games for the Checkers’ ECHL affiliate, the Florida Everblades, and is currently on a three-game point streak.
 
The Ottawa, Ontario native played four seasons at Mercyhurst College, compiling 47 goals and 85 assists (132 points) in 166 NCAA games. He attended Checkers training camp prior to the season before joining the Everblades.
