MORE THAN 2,200 ITEMS COLLECTED FOR TROOPS

On Sunday, Nov. 20, the Checkers held Military Appreciation Day, presented by Goodrich Corporation, and asked fans to bring travel-sized personal items to donate to the USO of North Carolina. More than 500 items were donated, including deodorant, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors and more. The items were then put into rack packs and given to service men and women returning from active duty.

In addition, Innovasource, a maker of environmentally-responsible personal and home care products, made a donation which included 1,200 Proxi-brand hand sanitizers and 500 tubes of Proxi toothpaste.
