Chima Brazilian Steakhouse in Uptown Charlotte was the venue Tuesday evening for the inaugural Meat 'N Greet charity banquet and silent auction. More than 100 Checkers fans, staff and players attended and the event, which raised more than $8,900 for the Charlotte Checkers Charitable Foundation.
In addition to the dinner, there was a wine tasting provided by Domino. The Brenes family from Charlotte were honorary guests for the evening and dined alongside Checkers players.
The Charlotte Checkers Charitable Foundation is a 501C3 that creates initiatives, fundraising programs and partnerships that positively impact the lives of children, families and other deserving groups in the North and South Carolina Region. We support school programming, athletics and various children’s related non-profit groups that promote and encourage education, physical fitness, and development of character.
