2016-17

Completed his rookie season with the Checkers … Tied for fourth on the team and first among defensemen in playoff scoring with three points, all assists, in five games … Assigned to Charlotte as Carolina’s last training camp cut on 10/14 and made his season debut in that night’s regular-season opener at TEX … Picked up his first point of the season, an assist, and was plus-3 at IA (10/21) … Scored his first professional goal vs. IA (11/27) … Took his first career penalty (tripping) in his 32nd career game at CLE (12/22) … Had the primary assist on Andrew Poturalski’s game-tying goal in the third period vs. MIL (3/1) … Tied his season highs in plus/minus (+3) and shots on goal (five) vs. SA (4/5) … Had the lone assist on Connor Brickley’s overtime winner in Game 3 of the Checkers’ first-round playoff series vs. CHI (4/23), giving him points in consecutive games for the first time in his career … Had an assist and picked up the first fighting major of his career in Game 5 vs. CHI (4/26).
