Served as the Checkers' captain since the 2011-12 season ... Finished 2012-13 ranked fifth on the Checkers' all-time games played (193), goal (41), point (98) lists ... Ranked seventh all-time with 57 assists and fourth with 204 penalty minutes ... Is the team's all-time leader in shorthanded points (9) and shorthanded assists (7) ... Acquired from the Calgary Flames along with Ian White in exchange for Anton Babchuk and Tom Kostopoulos (11/17/10) ... Signed a one-year, two-way contract with Carolina on 6/25/13.

2012-13

Completed his sixth professional season and third with the Checkers … Was the Checkers' captain for the second consecutive season … Set new career highs in goals (19), assists (29) and points (48) … Ranked second on the team in points, fourth in goals and second in assists … Led the team with 17 even-strength goals … Tied for the team lead with three shorthanded points, all assists … Tied for the team lead with 70 games played … Tied the franchise record for most points in a single game (4) on three separate occasions ... Played in 60 of Charlotte's final 61 games after joining the team via trade... Served his only NHL stint with Carolina from 2/11-2/13, making his Hurricanes debut at TB (2/12)... 2007-08

Completed his first professional season, spending the entire season with Quad City (AHL)... Totaled 10 points (4g, 6a) and 63 penalty minutes in 75 games... Made his AHL debut and earned his first professional point (assist) vs. Rockford (10/6)... Netted his first AHL goal at Iowa (11/17).

Junior

Played four seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Kootenay Ice and the Red Deer Rebels...Notched 138 points (58g, 80a) in 254 games, while adding 274 penalty minutes... In 27 playoff games, he notched 10 points (4g, 6a) and 31 penalty minutes... Served as Red Deer's captain in 2006-07...
