Norman Fisher - Engineer/Ice Technician
Prior to starting at Time Warner Cable Arena as an engineer and ice technician, Norman was an engineer at Bojangles Coliseum, the former home of the Checkers. Norman was hired by the Charlotte Regional Visitor’s Authority in 1980 and began working in hockey during the 1994-1995 season. He has been working in arena operations for the past 25 years and has a vast knowledge of ice rinks. Norman enjoys going to muscle car shows and also enjoys the beach and the mountains.
Richard Moran - Engineer/Ice Technician
Prior to beginning at Time Warner Cable Arena, Richard worked in the construction industry, helping to build the arena itself. Richard has spent most of his career working in the industrial field and has since worked on several roller coasters at Carowinds. After construction was completed on Time Warner Cable Arena, Richard was hired by the Charlotte Regional Visitor’s Authority in the engineering department as central plant engineer and has been employed at the arena for the last five years. In addition to hockey events, Richard is also responsible for concerts, basketball games and tournaments and other arena events. Richard and his wife, Marcy, have four children and one grandson.
James Carnite - Ice Technician
James Carnite, originally from Ottawa, Canada, has been in the ice maintenace industry for 16 years. He holds a bachelor's degree in marketing/communications from Queens University of Charlotte, and is a logistics manager for Maersk, Inc. James resides in the Charlotte area with his wife Michele and their two children, Jackson and Ella.
Gary Dalena - Ice Technician
Gary Dalena is originally from Washington, D.C., and began driving ice resurfacing machines in 1996. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida and an MBA from Florida Tech. In addition to his work at Time Warner Cable Arena, he manages data systems for an equipment leasing company. Gary has been a certified ice hockey referee for more than 20 years and frequently works Charlotte area youth and adult hockey games. His wife, Alice, is a registered nurse with the American Red Cross and his daughter, Ashley, attends Forestview High School (soon Appalachian State University). They reside in Gastonia, N.C.
