The Checkers continue to add depth to their defensive pool, signing Josiah Didier to a two-way AHL contract.

The 24-year old was taken by Montreal in the fourth round of the 2011 draft and has put up 14 points (2g, 12a) and 88 penalty minutes in 100 AHL games with Hamilton and St. John’s. Heading into his third full pro season, Didier has also appeared in five ECHL games with the Brampton Beast, recording a goal and an assist along the way.

Prior to turning pro, the Colorado native spent four years at the University of Denver, twice serving as an alternate captain and helping lead the Pioneers to a National Championship in 2014.
