Hurricanes Recall Haydn Fleury
Haydn Fleury’s brief stint with the Checkers came to a close on Sunday as the Hurricanes summoned him back following the NHL’s All-Star break.

Fleury, a second-year pro who spent the entirety of his rookie campaign with the Checkers, played his lone AHL game of the season in Saturday’s 4-0 loss at Hartford. Now in the midst of their own All-Star break, the Checkers, who still have seven defensemen on their roster after Fleury’s departure, are off until Friday.

With Carolina this season, Fleury, who led all Checkers with a plus-16 rating as a rookie, has six assists in 39 contests.
