Grew up as a Winnipeg Jets fan and lists Felix Potvin as his favorite player ... A fan of country music, including singer Luke Bryan ... Favorite TV show is Duck Dynasty and favorite movie is Super Troopers… Favorite food is "every food imaginable" ... Fan of the Toronto Blue Jays… Outside of hockey, Deckert considers himself as "just a great fisherman" and spends most of his offseason at the lake… He is involved with the Believe in the Goal Foundation in his hometown of Winnipeg.
