As the Checkers embark on the next round of the Calder Cup Playoffs, a new batch of prospects have joined their ranks.

The Seattle Kraken announced today that they have signed Max McCormick to a two-year contract extension.

The Checkers stepped up and shut down Bridgeport in Monday’s Game 4, sending the Islanders packing with a decisive 4-0 win.

As they prepare for the start of their playoff run, the Checkers have recalled forwards Justin Nachbaur and Max Zimmer and goalie Evan Fitzpatrick from Greenville.

The Checkers’ second-round series moved to Charlotte for Game 3, but the home team couldn’t replicate their success and dropped the contest 3-2.
